Seven places separate Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Ham United in the Premier League table ahead of their matchup live on Amazon Prime Video at 7:30pm on Wednesday evening.
However, there are only four points between them and who will emerge from Molineux the happiest on the night is anyone’s guess.
Both sides come into this interesting game with a bit of form behind their backs. Wolves are unbeaten in the league since mid-September and West Ham have just become only the second team to beat Frank Lampard’s Chelsea, the last side to overcome Nuno Espirito Santo’s men, at Stamford Bridge in top-flight football.

But, while there are only four points between these two, the hosts are very muck knocking on the door of the top four and the visitors are trying to stave off a relegation battle having lost five of their last eight.
The Wanderers have recent happy memories of facing West Ham, doing the double over them in 2018/2019 with stoppage-time victory at London Stadium in September 2018 and a 3-0 home success in late January this year.
They could also be boosted by the return of Ryan Bennett from a groin strain, although Willy Boly (ankle) and Morgan Gibbs-White (back) both remain out.
Issa Diop is back from suspension for Manuel Pellegrini’s team, but it’s hard to imagine the Frenchman forcing his way back into the starting Xl after such a strong defensive performance in his absence at the weekend, whilst this one may come a little too soon for Jack Wilshere (groin) and Winston Reid (knee).
In 65 competitive meetings between the Hammers and the west Midlanders over the years, the boys from east London have the edge with 29 victories to their Wednesday opponents’ 20 and there have been 14 draws in this fixture – which column will this match fall into?
